ARK is a non-profit founded by Matt & Meg, two parents on a mission to make Kawartha Lakes a more welcoming place for people with Autism and their loved ones. Our goal was to create an identity and website that felt personal and relatable to parents and caregivers navigating an autism diagnosis.
From the very beginning, we knew the brand needed to feel approachable for children, but still center on being relatable for parents and caregivers. Designing the brand identity, we combined a soft, warm palette with friendly typography, and playful custom illustrations to evoke a sense of ease, hope, and understanding. The final result was a brand that feels genuine and uplifting — a space where parents and caregivers can feel seen, heard, and confident they’re not alone.
When it came time for the website design, we focused on building a website with an intuitive user experience, layered with touches of the brand’s personality, and imagery that reflects their calm, sensory-friendly environment. The site makes it easy to explore their resources, understand who ARK is and what they do, and feel comfortable offering support.
